TICK TOCK

Waiting. Not very patiently, I might add. I am not working anymore and have nothing to do but notice every little cramp and change my body makes. Apparently the doctor was not quite accurate with her estimate and I am going crazy!!! To make matters worse, Chase's dad, Monte, had surgery scheduled today to remove cancer from his tonsils. He is out of surgery now and doing well. Pathology reports should come in around Wednesday so we will know more information then. At least Hunter wasn't born while he was at UCLA. Close call though.

Since I have been trying to occupy myself, I found this fun little website that makes pregnancy horoscopes for the day you will deliver. I thought it was interesting and we'll see how close it is...
"The day you deliver, outside will be dark. Your baby will arrive in the middle of the afternoon. After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have medium green eyes and some brown hair."

Don't freak out!

Just got home from my doctors appointment. 37 weeks and 3 days today. She said I am 50% effaced, just over 1 centimeter dilated and will probably go into labor within the next 24-48 hours!!!!!! Whoa! Hopefully she's right otherwise I am going to be very disappointed. SOOO anxious to meet our little prince.

Too Much Info?

Had my 36 week doctors appointment yesterday and now they will come every week until Hunter is here. She checked me to see if any progress had started yet and it has, a little bit! She said that my cervix was very soft and I am one fingertip dilated. The baby's head is extremely low into the pelvis and she asked me "how are you still walking?!" I asked her if that means theres a good chance he may come early. she said no. not necessarily. darn. Hunter, please come early!!!!!

Also, I can now officially say we are completely ready. His clothes are washed and put away, the crib is made, the carseat is installed and waiting in the car, hospital bag is sitting by the door, wipes, lotions and diapers are out on the changing table ready to be used. We are ready! Bring it on!

Baby Shower #3

Saturday, August 8 was our third and final baby shower. Grandma Vicki and Auntie Terri put the whole beautiful day together at Corona Palms Clubhouse. Chase's brithday just passed on the 5th so he had a birthday party at our house with all the boys while the girls were at the shower. I was overwhelmed with all the generous gifts we were given and the wonderful families and friends we are blessed with. We now have everything we could possibly need for Hunter and more. I started packing my hospital bag yesterday and once i find a place to store all of the baby's things, we will be completely ready. Cant wait for him to come! Only 4 1/2 weeks until the due date. Hopefully he will come a little early. :)
