Prenatal Tests

Besides the needles and anxiety, all is well. I had the AFP test done to check for signs of downs syndrome which came back normal. Then this week had the glucose test done to check for gestational diabetes, also normal. Although they said I am slightly anemic, which is still normal during pregnancy. I just have to take iron pills once a day from now on. NO biggie.

We have an appointment this coming monday to tour the maternity ward and are looking forward to childbirth classes we scheduled starting July 9th. Four Thursdays in a row and a breastfeeding class toward the end of July. I am feeling great except for some back pain if I am on my feet all day. Nothing a warm bath doesnt fix though. Chase is doing great as well and getting excited for Hunter to be here.

The nursery is well on its way. As soon as its done I will upload some pictures. I painted a "neverland" themed mural on half the room and the rest is a soft, pale green with some stenciling. Chase is installing a chair rail soon and the crib my parents generously gifted us with is set up and ready to go. "Grandma Vicki" as she so patiently calls herself:) bought us a matching dresser that is coming in a few weeks as well. We are so lucky and we know it. Hunter, you are going to be one spoiled grandbaby.
