November has ended our wedding season (8 weddings this year!) and started the holidays off with a bang. Our friends, Garry and Kim were married on November 12th at a beautiful wedding in Corona. I've also been busy working on Hunter and Skyler's rooms the past 2 months. Hunter's Neverland room is complete now with his very own big boy bed.
Skyler's room is almost finished, but not quite, so I will upload those pictures next month.
Thanksgiving was great, we got to spend it with Chase's dad's side of the family at his aunt Donna's home in Marina Del Rey. We have decided to switch every other year between my family and his so that we don't have to run around all day from one place to another. Hunter had a blast playing with his favorite cousin, Abby, and another 2 year old girl named Gianna. After dinner we stopped at Vicki's house for some good company and pumpkin pie. Chase's grandpa had just had knee surgery, and he even made it over for a bit, so it was good to see him up and moving around so well.
The next day was busy putting up Christmas lights and taking out our decorations. Our house seems more like our home now that we are slowly getting things up on the walls and we can't wait to go get our much anticipated Christmas tree.
Also, Chase has been very involved with his RC car and just finished a big race series. He finished 3rd overall, even beating professionals who get paid to do this stuff! He loves it, and is amazingly dedicated and great at it as well.

October
Oh my gosh, a two year old is such a blast on halloween! What a great excuse to dress up and eat way too much candy. We started out our 3 day halloween at a dress up party at David and Mary's house in Coto de Caza. Then a trip to the pumpkin patch where Hunter went on every ride/bouncy house there. Then trick or treating at the Elsinore Outlets and passing out candy to the last of the few trick or treaters at our house. Hunter was Woody from Toy Story and I was Jessie and Chase was Buzz Lightyear. We all had a great time.
Earlier in the month my mom and I threw a baby shower for my cousin, Corissa and her soon to be daughter, Brooklynn. It was a Winnie the Pooh theme, as is the baby's nursery. So cute. Then we celebrated cousin Ben Powers' first birthday in Orange and Chase's cousin Todd's wedding on the 22nd. They got married at the same hotel we took our wedding pictures at only 3 1/2 years ago. Good memories being back there.
Ending the month, we had Skyler's 20 week anatomy scan where we were reassured that she is healthy....and still a girl :)

Its A Girl!!!!
I feel like it's too good to be true. I have everything I have always dreamed of and yet I somehow don't deserve it. A beautiful home, the perfect family of 4; great husband, an amazing son, and now a daughter. Wow. I have been so blessed.
All of the Grandparents and even 2 Great Grandmas made the trip out to the 4d ultrasound on October 1st. Her name will be Skyler Dawn Ehrlich. If you remember, we had the name picked out if Hunter turned out to be a girl. No need for reconsidering the options, we both still love the name Skyler. Dawn is after my Grandfather, Donald, who we lost just 3 months before Hunter's birth. Her due date is still March 23 but after discussing with my doctor, we have decided to induce labor 2 weeks early as long as her lungs are mature. So it looks like it will be the beginning of March sometime, and it will be planned, which is great since we have been worrying about Chase's work schedule with him working out of town so much. A huge weight lifted off our shoulders.
We are all moved into our new home and loving it. Chase has been hard at work with our overgrown landscaping every weekend and takes a lot of pride in what he's accomplished. We are unpacked and organized but the house still looks totally empty. Its funny how every place we have lived in so far, there was not enough room for all of our stuff and now we have the opposite problem... It will take us a while to completely furnish it, but its a challenge I will happily take. I have started on the Hunter's Neverland room and as soon as I am done, we will be putting him in his own big boy bed. Skyler's Wonderland nursery will be next and then the guest bedroom. One project at a time, I need to remind myself.
I forgot to mention last month that Hunter got a new cousin, Logan Scott Needle. He was born to Chase's cousin, Tim and his wife Mandi, from Menifee on August 24th. We also added another baby to my mom's side of the family, Chelsea Lynn Converse was born on September 9th to Jonnie and Keriann, who live down in San Diego. Hunter will be so glad to have new playmates at family parties now :)
Heres a few cute pictures of when we took Hunter to the LA county fair this month:

Happy 2nd Birthday!
Two years old today! So much time has flown by and it feels like only yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Hunter has grown into the sweetest little boy and I am unbelievably proud of him. He is going to make an amazing big brother soon.
We had a blast at Hunter's 2nd Birthday party this year at Mountain Gate Park in Corona. It was 104 that afternoon but we had reserved the shelter and the shade helped a lot. We had about 30 friends and family come to celebrate, and a very special guest came by to wish Hunter a happy birthday too.... Mickey Mouse!
August has just been preparing for Hunter's birthday party and putting off packing. I haven't been feeling very well this month and lack the energy and motivation to start boxing things up. But now that Hunter's party is over we are left with 2 weeks until moving day and I better get my act together. We are supposed to close on September 14th, moving on the 17th if all goes well.
2 weeks after that, on October 1, we have made an appointment for a 4D ultrasound to find out the gender of Hunter's sibling. So as long as the baby cooperates, my next post will be a big announcement! I also got to hear the heartbeat at the last doctor's appointment. 175 beats per minute. Baby is nice and high already, it took the doctor a few frightening minutes to find it because at 10 weeks its supposed to be just above your pelvis. But she found the beat right below my bellybutton. There's nothing like hearing the perfect, rhythmic pulse of your child's life growing inside you. Beautiful.

July
Huge things happening this month for the Ehrlich family....
WE'RE PREGNANT!!!
After trying for 4 long months, I was shocked to get a positive pregnancy test on July 18th. Shocked, but beyond thrilled and so happy! A few months ago I had bought a shirt for Hunter that said "Big Brother" just for this occassion. So when Chase came home from work, it took him a few seconds of hellos and hugs before he realized what Hunter was wearing. When he realized, he looked at me with big eyes and I nodded with a huge smile. Big family hugs and Chase was on the phone to tell the world the great news. LOL.
I have already gone and done all of my blood work and have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, Aug 5...Chase's birthday. It would make such a special present if Chase could go but he wont be home in time from working in Blythe. He'll get the pictures when he gets home though.
The due date is March 23 2012, which makes me 7 weeks tomorrow. We wont know the sex until October, but we're already dying to know if its the daughter we've been dreaming of or a baby brother for Hunter. We are so thankful for this new blessing and pray for a healthy and happy pregnancy and baby.
Other big news:
OUR NEW HOUSE! Yes, the long and exhausting search is finally over! We just finished negotiations on Aug 2nd and it will be all ours after a 45 day escrow! We have an inspection scheduled for this Sunday and if all goes well, we will start packing! We are so excited and in love with this house, we can't wait to make it our long term home for our new family of 4.
For the rest of the month of July, Hunter flew on his first airplane! We went to Park City Utah for Chase's cousin, Trevor's wedding. July 14-17, and he did great, but we were thankful it was only an hour and a half flight. The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time being with all the family and swimming in the hotel pools.
Another big milestone, Hunter is potty trained! He still has accidents here and there, but overall he's doing really well and he likes being a big boy and going in the potty. We still have him sleeping in his crib so he still wears diapers at night, which I am fine with for now. I've been so tired lately I don't want him to start coming to wake us up in the middle of the night yet. One thing at a time. :)
Also just finished swimming lessons today. He likes the water and splashing, kicking, blowing bubbles, and paddling. Does NOT like to be dunked under water or splashed in the face. But a success overall, he's doing great.

22 months
Summer is here and June has been fun and busy again. We attended a few beautiful weddings and cousin Keriann's baby shower. Chase and his dad, Monte took Hunter to his first car show for father's day.
And we just got back from a great camping trip at Lake Casitas in Ventura. We went with our friends, the Alfaros, and they have 2 kids, Nate and Kristina just about Hunter's age. The campground had a water park that was perfect for small kids and the lake was beautiful and weather was nice and hot. We had a great campsite and the kids loved to play in the dirt and throwing rocks in the water. We're glad we brought Hunter's wagon because it was a big hit as well. We came home on the 4th of July, showered and headed straight out to Canyon Lake to spend a few hours with more friends and more water fun.
There has been a lot of drama with our house hunting as we found out one of our short sales we were waiting for was apparently sold, flipped, and put back on the market at a much higher price, with no one bothering to tell us. So we give up. No more waiting for short sales, we're looking in a new neighborhood with regular sale homes and hopefully we'll be homeowners this summer.

21 months
May was another great and busy month. We were able to spend mothers day with both Chase's mom and my mom. We went to an airshow for the first time, and we all really enjoyed it. Hunter loved the airplanes and it is now his new favorite word. He can and will spot them in the air and in pictures, anywhere and everywhere. We also had our annual trip to Palm Springs with my family, which was a lot of fun, as always. We still haven't heard anything from the bank on our short sale house we're trying to buy, but we just found out another one of our offers on a different house just got accepted from the sellers and is now off to the bank too! So now we have two great options and we'll just have to sit and wait and see which one goes through first.
